Note the sunspot and solar flare activity from 1997 to 2001 on the chart, above. This sunspot activity fuels the global warming crowd far more than it fuels global warming. In 2009 the United Nations, which bought into the fake global warming frenzy fanned by the social progressives who planned to become among the super rich buying and selling carbon emission credits in their Cap & Trade, planned a major UN Convention on Global Warming where the deals would be made and the rich would get richer. Only, a northern hemispheric blizzard greeted the jet setters on their way to Copenhagen, Demark to try to answer why the world was overheating.

Of course, the bought-and-paid for climinatologists who worked for the UN and the environmental groups who were about to join the elite billionaires club, weren't looking for the real answers anyone with a real degree in climate science already knew that the sun—and the sun alone—determines the global temperature peaks and valleys that affect the inner planets in our solar system. They were looking for something that sounded a little more feasible than flatulating cows, sweating fat people and industrial pollutants which account for between 2% to 5% of greenhouses gases that impact global temperatures.
