TWO RELATED VIDEOS YOU MUST SEE: When
Congressman
Jim Moran [D-VA] and DNC Chairman Howard Dean scheduled a
healthcare town hall meeting in Reston, VA on Aug. 25, they were
ready for the busloads of out-of-town protesters Democrats
claimed were the cause of every disruption at every town hall
in the country. Moran's security demanded to see the IDs of
critics before they were allowed to speak at the South Lakes High
School. (IDs of those who favored socialized medicine were not
checked.) Outside of the gymnasium, school security officers were
told to break up the anti-healthcare protests. One African-American
security officer, Wesley Cheeks, Jr., threatened to arrest a protester
solely because he was carrying a poster depicting Obama as the
Joker. When the protester tried to tell the officer he had a 1st
Amendment right to carry the sign, Cheeks said he would be
arrested if he displayed the sign. When the protester said:
"This used to be America," Cheeks replied: "It ain't no
more, okay?"
While Congressman Jim Moran
[D-VA], inside the gymnasium of South Lakes High School in Reston, VA
during an Aug. 25 healthcare town hall, was demanding to see ID to prove
that an angry resident of the 8th Congressional District was really from
the 8th Congressional District before letting him ask a question (although
those who favored Obamacare did not have to prove they were Fairfax County
residents and not shills from AARP or SEIU) as about 1,200 raucous "spillover"
protesters (and SEIU counterprotesters) outside the gymnasium threw barbs
at one another in the parking lot outside the school. The role of the
counterprotesters was to start fights that would trigger the arrest of
protesters, thereby lending credibility to the allegations of the left
that the Republicans were using paid protester to disrupt the town halls.
